Age and housing, at a glance
Two different views of the area: residents by age, and occupied homes by tenure.
Age distribution
54,522 people · ± 1,953 approximate 90% margin of error
Share of all residents, including people in group quarters. Hidden groups keep the same population denominator.
Renting & ownership
26,790 occupied housing units · ± 932 approximate 90% margin of error
Share of occupied housing units. This does not describe people, vacant homes or current listings. Hidden groups keep the same housing denominator.
Sources and calculation method
Counts are summed over the official member tracts listed in this profile. Age groups combine the male and female cells for each age band. Counts are added before dividing by the full population or occupied-housing total; percentages are never averaged.
Group margins of error use Census sum and subset-proportion approximations, with a ratio fallback where necessary. They are approximate 90% intervals, not exact replicate-weight results. Correlation and zero-count cells can affect their accuracy. Missing values and zero denominators have no percentage. These figures describe the survey period.

Each bar uses a 0–100% scale. Margins of error are approximate. Read the calculation method and original sources below.
How to read this evidence
BrytaLocals sums ACS 2020–2024 population and race/ethnicity counts using DVRPC’s official 2020 Census-tract-to-Philadelphia-Planning-District lookup. The publisher states the tract boundaries were delineated to align with the 18 planning districts. Exact source district identifiers and tract memberships are retained. Counts are summed before percentages; no spatial weighting or averaging of medians. Approximate 90% margins use Census sum and subset-proportion formulas, with ratio fallback where needed. Covariance and zero-count cells can affect the approximation. These are survey-period estimates, not current counts.
Area boundaries do not establish school attendance, a property’s local jurisdiction or a household’s experience. Check the specific address with the responsible agency.
