What “available” means

Census estimates
Historical population, housing, income and community data. A matching record may still contain a suppressed or unavailable value. State and metro comparisons currently include population, home value, gross rent and household income.
Schools
The national directory identifies schools and districts; it does not provide national test-score rankings. Loading outcome coverage… Address matches use Census district boundaries, which differ from individual school attendance zones.
Public safety
Matched police-reported city data, with gaps and reporting differences. A matching city name does not establish identical boundaries. No report means unknown, not zero crime. No overall safety score is assigned.
Commute
Place/ZIP points and optional address matching are available nationally. In-app route miles and minutes require a connected provider and a returned route; transit service varies by location. External directions remain available.
Lifestyle & news
Lifestyle factors currently open external directories. Original news links are connected from 43 selected state feeds, with dates, author and publisher credits. Town views require a headline mention; statewide reporting is a separate view. Many places have no matching articles, and 7 states plus DC have no connected state feed. This is not comprehensive local news.
Geographic limits
Community names cover all states, but names alone do not establish neighborhood boundaries. Mapped city areas depend on local publishers. Every USPS postal code, micropolitan comparisons and US territories are outside this release. Metros spanning states appear in each state’s count, but once in the national total.

Data is released as checked snapshots. Download dates do not change the observation year.
