USGS description & history
Located on the E bank of the Okanogan River, 9.7 km (6 mi) NNE of Tonasket and 16 km (10 mi) S of Oroville. (US-T121); 1964 decision revised.
Named for George H. Ellis and John P. Forde who settled in the region in 1893; 1964 decision revised.
