USGS description & history
A cluster of houses at a bend in Maxfield Creek Road, approx. 11 miles NW of Corvallis; Sec 14, T10S, R6W, Willamette Meridian
The name recognizes Elias D. Keas (1809-1870) and Mary Ann “Polly” Keas (1816-1898), pioneers in the Kings Valley Area. The Keas family arrived in Benton County in 1847, and according to historical records was granted a 641-acre Donation Land Claim by the U.S. Government in 1851.
