USGS description & history
Located in northeastern Cherokee County, 24 km (15 mi) northeast of Murphy.
Incorporated in 1905; the community was first known as Valley Town; it was renamed Andrews for A B Andrews (1841-1915), who was instrumental in the establishment of the Western North Carolina Railroad. (NC-T11/p10)
