Harlan is located in Springfield Township at the intersection of Antwerp Road and Indiana State Route 37, approximately 22 km (14 miles) NE of the center of the Allen County seat of Fort Wayne.
Harlan was platted and established by Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Reichelderfer (IN-T300/p 67)
