USGS description & history
New location is approximate. Formerly located in the Mississippi River Floodplain at 381740N0901857W.
After the devastating 1993 Mississippi River flood, the US Government assisted in buying out residents of the town and relocating them approximately 2 miles eastward to higher ground. All 325 homes were moved to higher ground.
