USGS description & history
Originally named 'Nadaburg' (Spanish word meaning 'nothing') in the 1920's, changed to 'Whittman' in 1929 and to 'Wittman' in 1935. Wittman backed the reconstruction of Walnut Grove Dam (AZ-T101).
