on Kenai Peninsula, between Seward Highway and East Fork Sixmile Creek, 24 mi. SW of Whittier and 9 mi. SE of Sunrise, Chugach Mts.
Former mining camp in Sixmile Creek mining area. Recent U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) maps indicate a site with four buildings. Name derived from nearby Silvertip Creek.
